A California native, Karen has been a resident of our beautiful desert since 1982. She is an avid hiker, rescue dog owner and equestrian. She proudly gentled and rides a mustang horse and also has two donkeys adopted from the Bureau of Land Management.
Karen has volunteered for many local causes and events and is a long time volunteer for the Morongo Valley Chamber of Commerce and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. She loves the Morongo Basin; with its small-town atmosphere, friendly people, spectacular night skies and lovely landscapes. Karen genuinely likes people and very much enjoys working with the public.
Karen obtained her real estate license in 2005 after many years in the construction industry. In May 2017, she became the broker for Inspire Property Management as well as providing real estate sale services. In January 2019 she became the broker for Inspire Real Estate as well. She works with both buyers and sellers. She loves the real estate business and making clients happy is her #1 goal.

Born and raised in central Wisconsin, Julianne visited Joshua Tree National Park in 2000 and fell in love with the area. After buying and selling property in Wisconsin , she bought her first home in 2001 and never looked back. Being able to be outdoors for the majority of the year, was the major attraction for moving to this area. “We are within 2 hours of everything you could hope to do; surf at the beach, ski at Big Bear, see concerts, plays, or shop in LA, (our local shows are absolutely fabulous too), Disney, have lunch in downtown Palm Springs, ride a tram, go birding at the Salton Sea, and of course, hike and climb in the National Park. Yucca Valley and the surrounding Morongo Basin have a small town feel and an ease that other areas in southern California may have outgrown. Dori Abel is a native Californian who grew up in the Santa Clarita Valley, north of Los Angeles. As a young adult she and her husband Merl, lived in Orange County where they began to raise their family. Making the move to Yucca Valley, in 1990, was life changing and they never looked back. Dori loves people and has a nitch for conversation and loves the beauty of the outdoors.
While raising her family in Yucca Valley, Dori and her husband Merl started Joshua Springs Christian School where she and her husband were involved in coaching, teaching, Administration and church activities. She earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling at Azusa Pacific University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Bible Studies.
Now that she is in the real estate business, she especially loves showing people around the area who are perhaps looking for their first home, a vacation home or transferring to the area. Jill Akalski has lived in beautiful Yucca Valley since 1999. Before moving here, she was born and raised in Banning, California. She and her husband, Chris, have two awesome sons. When they’re not in Yucca Valley, they spend their weekends at the river in Parker, AZ. She is part of the Yucca Valley Noon Rotary Club. She is the Youth Services Chair and handles sending students to leadership camps. In her spare time, her real passion is Wedding & Event Planning!

Jenn Youngs grew up in the Morongo Basin. After attending Biola University, she travelled the world and moved all over So. Cal until she realized nothing quite beats the beautiful desert of her childhood. She decided to move back in 2022 with a family of her own to develop a career in real estate. Her husband, Drew, and 5yr old son, Phoenix, have enjoyed the adventure of buying their first home in Yucca Valley. Carolynn has been selling Real Estate since getting her license in 1989. Starting in Redondo Beach California she moved to San Diego and finally in 2000 to the beautiful Morongo Basin to make it “home”. Carolynn and her husband Paul have built and renovated several different types of properties, become active in the community and work with the shelters providing a home for older dogs. Carolynn and Paul’s grown children live all over the US and have passed on sense of community to their beautiful grandsons.

Cynthia was born in New England and later moved as a child to Santa Barbara CA until her high school years brought her back to New England with her family. She graduated in New Hampshire and started her family there. In 1983 she moved to the desert of Arizona and spent 8 years there then she and her husband Ben moved to be closer to family In Yucca Valley, CA where they built their home. Cynthia has been a local real estate agent and broker since 1991. She started her real estate career at Better Homes and Gardens Roberts Realty and served as their Sales and Office Manager from 1992 to 1994. She received that companies highest sales award two years in a row and managed a staff of 10 agents and clerical staff.
In 1994 Cynthia went to Glen Realty where she was a Broker Associate and helped grow the office to 10 agents, becoming the highest selling office in the Basin in her time there. She was the number one agent in the local MLS for 7 years. She also handled all public relations, advertising and other duties as needed.
In 2005 Cynthia opened her own office, Realty Professionals of the Morongo Basin and Windermere Real Estate and owned that office until 2022 when she joined the Inspire Real Estate team as an Associate Broker.
In her off time, Cynthia served as a Board member of the Boys & Girls Club for over 18 years, was the founding member of the YVHS Career Pathways Program and served on their board for over 10 years. She also served as a Soroptimist member and board member for 7 years, then later became a Rotarian and served as a member and board member for over 12 years. Cynthia served on the Yucca Valley/Desert Communities Association of Realtors for over 15 years, serving as President twice. She served on the Yucca Valley Parks & Rec Park and Cultural Commission for 3 years and chaired the Hi Desert Water District Citizens Sewer Committee for 2 years.
Family is Cynthia’s greatest passion with now having 3 children, and 9 grandchildren. She loves to travel and spend time with her family throughout the country.
Real Estate is still her other passion and through all the changes in over 33 years
still finds it an incredibly fulfilling career.
